After an enterprise activation of a User, one of our customers started receiving Error events in the Application log:
{[email protected]} ConstructPIMFolder – Failed to open the contact folder for user (0x8004010f)
or
{[email protected]} ConstructPIMFolder – Failed to open the memo folder for user (0x8004010f)
The problem was with a corrupted Outlook folders for the Memo, Tasks and Contacts.
The resolution was to start Outlook with the switch /resetfolders. You can do this by going to start -> run and typing Outlook /resetfolders.
If some of the old memos, contacts, notes or tasks is not synchronized then you will have to open them in Outlook after running the /resetfolders switch.
